Minecraft Madness

Minecraft Madness

I’ve been dabbling around in Minecraft this week and during my journey, I’ve stumbled across several videos on Youtube showing off an incredible amount of creativity and spare time.

A series of Minecraft projects which range from Portal replicas to giant castles.

The Riksdagshuset.

Someone has concocted a working 16-bit computer that runs inside of Micecraft. The video shows a massive arithmetic logic unit (ALU) which is able to function as an archaic calculator.

A group of hippies built a massive replica of Earth.

This man is creating a 1:1 replica of the Enterprise D from Star Trek: The Next Generation. As nerdy as this may be, and boy is it nerdy, I can’t help but give props to him for blowing my mind and making me love Minecraft.

It is incredible that a game that is only in Alpha is generating this much interest. Be sure to listen to this week’s episode of That Gamer Podcast for my thoughts on the game. Find any other crazy Minecraft videos? Post a link in the comments.

This things people have built on this game are amazing. Right now, on the server I'm playing on, I started like a bay community and have about 10 people working on it.
