NBA 2K11 3D Enhancement (PS3)

With the recent release of NBA 2k11 it’s clear that it has taken flight as the best basketball simulation available today.  And now, 2k Sports wants to take that flight and land a slam dunk in your living room.  Literally.

Yesterday, 2K Sports announced that the Playstation 3 version of the game will be exclusively available in 3D as a native download free of charge to those who already own the game.  With NBA 2k11 already sporting Playstation Move support, this will clearly bring a full 3D/Motion interaction for NBA 2k11.  Of course this will require a television that broadcasts 3D along with 3D active glasses to view the effect.  For a couple thousand dollars, plus the price of the game, you should be good to go.  But if you don’t feel like spending that kind of coin, don’t worry as you can try this 3D enhancement out exclusively at Best Buy stores across the country starting on November 16th.

This update will be available to the masses around January 2011 just in time for the heart of the NBA’s regular season.
