Santa Claus is coming folks! And if you’re like me, you like to wait until the last minute to tell him what you want for Christmas. But fear not! Like last year, I have the ultimate list for you to give to Mr. Claus! Here are my picks for the best games to get this holiday season that you don’t want to miss out on! Racing Games

Forza Motorsport 4. Possibly the best simulation racing game of all-time

Forza Motorsport 4 (Xbox 360) – Forza 4 is probably the best racing game ever made in terms of simulation. And the graphics are simply stunning. If you look at the above image you wouldn’t know it was even from a video game. Turn 10 studios simply did a fantastic job. This game is on my list and it should be on yours too if you love racing games.

3...2...1...GO!!

Mario Kart 7 (Ninendo 3DS) – Mario Kart is back and this time he’s on the Nintendo 3DS. Bringing 3D graphics and your usual chaotic fun, race your way for the Mushroom Cup with Mario and his pals as you throw red shells at each other, and banana peels. It doesn’t get any better than this.

Gears Of War 3

Gears Of War 3 (Xbox 360) – GOW3 finishes the fight with the Horde. Who doesn’t want to curb stomp these guys and use the lancer chainsaw machine gun?

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (Xbox 360/PS3) – Call Of Duty is back with it’s 3rd installment of Modern Warfare. One of the fastest selling video games of all-time, it’s no question where this game belongs this holiday season.

Battlefield 3

Battlefield 3 (Xbox 360/PS3/PC) – Battlefield returns to the field with it’s latest installment, Battlefield 3. The Frostbite 2 engine has taken over this game and environments crumble around you as you are in engaged in all-out war.

Action & Adventure

Super Mario 3D Land

Super Mario 3D Land (Nintendo 3DS) –  Mario is back and this time he’s in 3D? What can be a more better gift to give this holiday season than Mario in 3D! Anyone who has a Nintendo 3DS should have this game on their list.

LOZ: Skyward Sword

The Legend Of Zelda:  Skyward Sword (Wii) – When Nintendo announced Skyward Sword it was the top of everyone’s list to grab for the Wii. Now it is on the top of the list this holiday season. Link returns with full motion controls, that are better than ever.

Uncharted 3

Uncharted 3:  Drake’s Deception (PS3) – Nathan Drake returns in an all-out explosive, action packed adventure in Uncharted 3:  Drake’s Deception. One of the best games available on the Playstation 3, this one is going to be hard to pass up this holiday.

Skyrim

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Xbox 360/PS3/PC) – Not many games have made an impact as Skyrim has. In terms of adventure games (also considered an RPG) this is probably the best video game released this year.

Madden NFL 12

Madden NFL 12 (Xbox 360/PS3/Wii) – The definitive NFL football game is always on the list in most households and this holiday is no different. If you want to play in the NFL, this remains your choice if you’re not superhuman.

NHL 12'

NHL 12′ (Xbox 360/PS3) – NHL 12′ is what hockey is all about. Every year they seem to make their games better and better. No surprise this year’s hockey game is on everyone’s list once again.

Kinect Disneyland Adventures

Kinect Disneyland Adventures (Xbox 360) – Finally, if you can’t get to Disneyland (or Disneyworld) this holiday season, the next best thing is probably Kinect Disneyland Adventures. Definitely a top pick for kids and the family this year.
