This month, I decided to take the reigns and look at something console based. Growing up, my favorite console was probably the Sega Mega Drive (Genesis). Although I loved playing on SNES games at my friends house, and prefer the SNES titles now that I'm older, a the time, nothing could beat some good old arcade-style action. And that's what the Mega Drive was - a home arcade system. W... more.

Horror games and I have always gotten along. I scoff at their futile attempts to scare me for more than a few hours, while they entertain me with the hardships of conserving ammunition, zig-zagging past hordes of zombies and gameplay style that is only forgiven in the genre. Although, the two games revealed by Capcom to be released in the current trend of we-need-the-money-so-lets-just-put-it-i... more.

There's a small, white console sitting on my shelf, gradually gathering dust as its motion-control gimmick quickly wore off. Next to that, lies the PlayStation Move, gathering an equal amount of dust, not because the gimmick ran out for me, but because there have been no decent games released as of yet. Then, StarDrone plopped into my eager lap. Booting it up and seeing the Move warnings... more.

Lately we have been flooded with first person shooters.  With so many of these games coming on the market, it's been hard to find one that even attempts to have an original story.  So naturally when I heard the about Homefront my heart skipped a beat. I mean, this game was written by John Milius, the man who wrote the movie Red Dawn... this game HAS to be good, right? I had such incredibly h... more.

If you want to be frustrated and throw your remote - play this game. There... there's my review. Are you happy Konami? You made a grown man cry. In case you're unfamiliar, Hard Corps: Uprising is part of the Contra series and is a prequel to Contra: Hard Corps. The year is 2613, and a dude name Tiberius has now brought the entire world under his reign by creating his empire, known as the Common... more.
